Let’s make sure The Collaborative is a good fit for you

The Collaborative, a Managed Services Provider (MSP), curates a network of professional services companies serving health sciences companies under ONE Diverse Supplier Master Service Agreement (MSA). Please answer a few questions to find out if The Collaborative is a good fit for you.

FAQs

The Collaborative exists to help its Members grow their business. We do this by providing access to Master Service Agreements (MSAs) from companies in the health sciences, including biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, health systems, and other health-related product and service companies. Pursuing MSAs with biopharmaceutical and medical device companies is our current priority.

Members can expand their customer base more rapidly because we have secured MSAs, focusing on securing projects and serving client needs, rather than negotiating MSAs and taking care of invoicing. In addition, we are a certified Diverse Supplier, which enables Members to access budgets they’ve not been able to access previously.

We connect with Diverse Supplier Procurement to help meet targets for diverse supplier spend. We also provide solutions for Supplier Consolidation and Tail Spend Aggregation, by enabling access to all TC Members under a single Diverse Supplier MSA.

TC is the best fit for small, independently-owned companies who have been unable to secure their own MSAs from Client companies. Successful Members will be proactive in reaching out to companies with whom TC holds MSAs.

There is no cost to join. Rather, TC gets a percentage of the total project cost invoiced to the client for all projects conducted using our MSAs.

Memberships are annual and renew automatically unless you notify us of your intention to discontinue.

There is no requirement that the Member be a diverse supplier. Since we are a diverse supplier, providing services via our MSA gives Members access to additional budgets in client companies. However, we proactively encourage diverse companies to join, and if you are diverse, Clients may be able to recognize additional Tier 2 spend.

The categories we include are small businesses and businesses owned by women, minorities, disabled individuals, veterans, and LGBTQ individuals, as well as those located in HUBZone-designated areas.

TC is WBENC-certified. There is no requirement for diverse Members to also certify;, however, you may self-certify.

In that case, there is no need for you to access our MSA to work with that Client. No Member is ever required to use our MSA. Sometimes, our MSA might be the better choice; for example, when the Member is not a diverse company and the Client is looking to fulfill diverse spend requirements. However, if TC receives an RFP and/or introduces you into a Client company through its MSA, you must work under TC’s MSA.

Under the terms of the Member Agreement, if we introduce Members to a Client company, they may not pursue their own MSA with that Client during the term of their membership and for one year following the termination of their membership.

Suppliers whose MSAs have expired are unlikely to secure MSAs now. Most large companies are implementing Supplier Consolidation strategies to reduce the cost and complexity of vendor management. Also, as a TC Member you have access to ALL of our Client MSAs, not just the one that expired.

The list of MSA companies is confidential and available only to Members. It is kept up-to-date on the Member Portal section of our website.
